Josh Gad, the voice of Olaf in the Disney movie “Frozen,” hosts a new ABC special from 8 to 9 Tuesday, Sept. 2, on the making of the animated hit. During “The Story of Frozen: Making a Disney Animated Classic,” viewers will hear from Gad, Kristen Bell (voice of Anna), Idina Menzel (voice of Elsa), and the "Frozen" filmmaking team.

Viewers will see the Norwegian villages and landscapes that inspired the fictional kingdom of Arendelle. They’ll learn that “Do You Want to Be a Snowman” was almost cut from the film. They'll see how Kristen Bell's mannerisms were incorporated into the animated Anna. The special will also include announcements about the next chapter of “Frozen” and a preview of “Frozen” characters Anna, Elsa and Kristoff on an upcoming episode of ABC’s “Once Upon a Time.”

The show will also offer a sneak peek of “Big Hero 6,” Disney Animation Studios’ next big-screen comedy.
