Celebrate National Friendship Day with Strawberry Shortcake
Today is National Friendship Day, and Strawberry Shortcake is hosting a contest.
The sweet-smelling classic character wants to see pictures of your favorite girl with her BFF on the Strawberry Shortcake Facebook page. Or, @berrybestbits on Instagram or Twitter using the Hashtag #BerryBestFriend.
Five sets of BFFs will be chosen at random and will win a new Strawberry Shortcake doll from Bridge Direct, which will be coming out this Fall. New toys featuring Sweet Beats songs from The Hub Network's TV series "Strawberry Shortcake's Berry Bitty Adventures" and Strawberry Shortcake and Cherry Jam dolls and accessories will be available soon.
Friendship Day was originally founded by Hallmark in 1919 as a day for people to celebrate their friends through cards. Then in 1998, the classic Disney character, Winnie the Pooh, was named the Ambassador of Friendship.
