Best and worst celebrity baby names of 2012
Dealing with scrutiny is part of a celebrity's job, from red carpet looks to parenting choices. Now, Hollywood's tiny tots are in the limelight, with their first names at center stage.
BabyCenter, a pregnancy and parenting website, asked more than 4,000 moms to weigh in on the best and worst celebrity baby names of 2012.
According to the responses, Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley topped the list with their daughter's name, Adalaide Marie. Vivian Lake, daughter of Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady, came in second. Moms weren't fans of the name Bastian Kick, son of Jeremy Sisto and Addie Lane, or Maxwell Drew, daughter of Jessica Simpson and Erick Johnson.
"Passing judgment on celebrity baby names is a national sport for moms today," said Linda Murray, BabyCenter global editor-in-chief. "Celebrities are now so open about their pregnancies that we feel the right to weigh in on their baby names. Our survey results prove that it’s tough to win public support -- even from fans -- if celebs choose names that are too quirky or unique, but those who opt for unusual yet classic names can rule the day.”
