If you're looking for a new educational app for kids, you may want to check out Dinosaur Train A to Z, based on the PBS Kids series "Dinosaur Train."

Little ones will learn about 26 dinosaurs through the letters of the alphabet while they touch and feed them, use X-rays, discover fun facts, create words and more. The app is designed for children ages 3 to 6.

My almost 3-year-old daughter is very into dinosaurs right now, so the app is a win-win for us. She knows her ABCs, but the dinosaurs and all the fun content reinforce her knowledge and encourage her to learn new words. Her favorite part is swiping the iPad to feed the dinosaurs.

I'm looking forward to the Dinosaur Letter Feature, an update coming soon, which allows children to spell their name using dinosaur letters.

The Dinosaur Train A to Z app is available for $1.99 in the iTunes App Store. For more information, visit pbskids.org/dinosaurtrain.
