Long Island Aquarium & Exhibition Center

Formerly the Atlantis Marine World, the full-scale aquarium and Exhibition Center featuring a large all-living coral reef display, a 120,000-gallon shark tank, year-round sea lion shows, numerous touch tanks, and more than 100 exhibits and interactive experiences, including Shark Dive, Pirate Snorkel Adventure, Atlantis Explorer Tour Boat, and Sea Lion Kiss.

Aquatic animals of all sorts live in freshwater and saltwater tanks. The aquarium has multiple touch pools -- including the "ray bay," where the stingrays swim up to the edge of the pool for petting and feeding. There are daily sea lion shows and other special experiences that range from diving with sharks to snorkeling with fish to training animals (extra fees apply).
