Limiting game time is a good idea

When my sister got her iPod Touch, she seemed to not notice others around her. She didn't seem to yell at me as usual . . . she just wasn't herself. She was more quiet and alone. She kept looking at the small, bright screen like she couldn't leave it alone. She started to talk about her iPod and take it everywhere. I felt a little left out and lonely. I noticed a definite change when she was stripped away from the iPod. She was my grumpy old sister again.

Kids love games. They play them while they wait, they play them when they are bored or they play them for fun. We all enjoy games, and they also help us at times. There are two general groups of games: those that are educational like chess, card games and word games, and games that make your brain slug on. Then there are those that are action- and adventure-packed that may be less educational, and some are even violent. Sometimes it seems like we are always on our computers, DS, Apple, Wii, Xbox, etc.

Since lots of us kids play games daily, it seems like some kids have an addiction to them. I think there is nothing wrong with you trying to limit the amount of time you spend with your electronic devices. Even though it may be your favorite game, too much of something could end up being a bad thing.
