'Splat Art' (Klutz; klutz.com)

"Splat Art" by Andrew Pinder is a really good book because it makes you use your imagination to create drawings from splatters of paint. You don't have to be an artist to enjoy this book because each page allows you to draw something different. You don't just have to draw animals -- you could draw people, insects, dinosaurs and any other creatures. I recommend that you get this book for Christmas.

'GUINNESS WORLD RECORD BOOK 2013' (guinnessworldrecords.com)

I really like reading about the records. I like the records because I think they look funny. I love the facts in it. I love what the people do to get in it. I am looking forward to reading a lot more. Some of the records I saw I thought looked impossible.

CSI Book series (Simon & Schuster)

We think the CSI book series by David Lewman is great for kids our age. We read "The Case of the Mystery Meatloaf," "The Case of the Missing Moola" and "The Case of the Disappearing Dogs." We think these books were very exciting because they had many mysteries and taught you how to conduct an investigation properly. It may give you clues, but it still can be very tricky. The book allows you to think about whether you would like to do investigations as a profession or do it for fun. It also could be entertaining and it made for a good and interesting read.

SHIVERING SCRAT (Just Play; iceageonline.com)

My 1-year-old brother likes to play with the Shivering Scrat and Shira, both plush toys from the movie series "Ice Age." When he holds Shivering Scrat and presses the button, it shivers in his hands and it makes him laugh. It also makes funny noises. When you put Scrat on a slippery floor and you make him shiver, he will move across the floor. The funny thing about the toy is that you can take away his acorn, tie a rope to it and pull it away while he moves on the slippery floor.
