Kidsday: Cow Harbor Day in Northport

Cow Harbor Day is a yearly festival celebrating the history of the village of Northport.

The village was called Great Cow Harbor years ago as cows used to graze on fields along the harbor where two lovely parks are now.

There are two races. One is 10K, the other is 2K. The 2K race is a walk or run for families. The 10K race, which started in 1977, is ranked by Runner's World as one...
