Drive to collect Jeans for Teens
Jeans For Teens was started by my sister, Haley Follo. She decided to start it when she was an 8th-grader. The program ran for approximately one month, and she collected more than 600 pairs of jeans within the Miller Place School District. The following year, it was continued by the Miller Place High School's Service Club.
The Jeans For Teens program collects gently used jeans to be donated to charity. The Service Club will hold the fundraiser once again this year with Haley Follo, co-secretary of the Service Club, as the contact for the high school, myself as the contact at my middle school, and my younger brother Nicholas Follo as contact at Laddie A. Decker Sound Beach School. The program will run in early 2014, and we hope to exceed past donations to continue to help people in our area.
