Have you ever been to the Bayport Aerodrome? One interesting fact about the Bayport Aerodrome Society is that Bob Fritts, a World War II veteran, is part of it. Bob was born in 1926 and was inspired to fly while living next to a U.S. Navy airfield in Panama. He earned two battle stars during World War II, one in Okinawa, Japan. He learned to fly at Zahn's Airport in Amityville.
