The holiday shows are beginning.

Two Peanuts animated specials air this week on ABC/7. "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" and "This Is America, Charlie Brown: The Mayflower Voyagers" are scheduled for 8 to 9 p.m. both Wednesday and Thursday.

"The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About Christmas!" The first Cat in the Hat Christmas special premieres at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday on WNET/13. It repeats at 9 and 10 a.m. Friday. It also is scheduled to air on WLIW/21 at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Thursday. The hourlong special features the Cat, Nick and Sally traveling around the world to help a lost reindeer find his way home in time for Christmas.
