Description:
The hatchery, first opened by the state in 1883, became a nonprofit educational facility in 1982. You'll see freshwater fish and amphibians. You'll also see the state's largest collection of freshwater turtles - including one with two heads and a snapping variety that weighs 79 pounds.
Fish on the grounds Friday-Tuesday (extra fee, rental equipment available).
