ADMISSION $13 (ages 10 and younger must be accompanied by paying adult); Proceeds donated to the Nassau County Burn Center and the New York State Chapter of the Firefighter Cancer Support Network.

Nearly 15,000 frightened people can't be wrong. That's the average number who make their way (fast or slowly) through this multiroom haunted firehouse. A horde of sick, twisted clowns will herd you into this multiroom terrorfest. Formerly human volunteers of all ages and sizes work their dark magic along with animatronics, strobe lights, moving floors and other effects designed to make this fundraiser a howling success. At the busiest, expect a 60- to 90-minute wait, but there are live characters trolling the lines as you wait. There is a concession stand outside and a mini-maze open in the waiting area, as well as spooky characters.
