A cornucopia of harvest festivals await Long Islanders during the month of October. What other time of year offers the perfect opportunity to take the kiddies on a tractor-drawn wagon ride (most of them minus the hay, because hay is slippery), husk corn just for fun, or marvel at pumpkins that weigh several hundred pounds?
