Such amenities as a DJ, cocktails and food usually work well as enticements when it comes to possibly attracting people to patronize a party, but anyone who attends the 12th annual Pet Peeves celebration set for Thursday, March 27 at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury will also enjoy the added bonus of being a benefactor.

As it has for the past dozen years, Woodbury-based nonprofit Pet Peeves Inc. will be hosting a fundraising gala (called “Unleashed”) that night to help provide support for Long Island pet rescue groups, humane education programs, animal shelters and pet therapy programs. Proceeds from the evening – which will also include raffles, among its doings – will go to benefit the cause.

The event is from 6-10 p.m., with tickets for $135 at the door or online for $125. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit petpeeves.org; for sponsorship information, email janine@petpeeves.org.
