Life on Long Island
Thanksgiving Eve 2012: Suffolk
If heading to bars and clubs is something you’re either not accustomed to doing, or you are saving your eventual appearance on the nightlife circuit for a special circumstance, “Thanksgiving Eve” (Wednesday, Nov. 22) could be the right night to get you out and about. With almost everybody on the Island home for the holidays and off from work on Thanksgiving, Long Island’s hot spots rise to the occasion every year by throwing big parties that often do huge business.
Here are some Suffolk County selections for pre-Turkey Day parties (call ahead for cover charges and more information):
Wall Street: 573 Nesconset Hwy., Hauppauge 631-656-6550
Theo Pisani (AKA DJ Theo) is currently Long Island’s biggest celebrity selector, with a dedicated crowd of fans and a successful mix series (“Nervous Nitelife: Summer Clubbing” volumes 1-4), so anticipate a heavy turnout as he headlines this T-Eve bash starting at 9 p.m. Tickets are available online for $20 at wantickets.com, likely more at the door. Dress to impress.
