Pride For Youth's 'Spring Fling'
Finding someone special is never an easy feat; whether you search online, roam the clubs or hope your friends can recommend someone decent to date, the hunt can often be challenging…as in really challenging.
However, on Friday, March 29 The Bunkhouse in Patchogue has a special event ready to go that will allow you to review some worthy companions – and all you need to do to get their attention is bid with abandon.
The Bunkhouse is hosting the Pride For Youth's “Spring Fling” bachelor/bachelorette auction fundraiser starting at 10 p.m. – an event that will allow interested parties to both donate to a cause while simultaneously getting a shot at spending time with the gay single soul of your selection.
Pride For Youth is a not-for-profit, 501c(3) advocate organization that works with and for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth (ages 13-20), serving Nassau and Suffolk counties. Aided in its efforts by contributions, this event is set to help in raising funds through both the date auction and via attendance, as tips collected at the bar will also serve as a contributing factor.
All finalized matches will come with date night enhancements, including perks like a Fire Island package, tickets to see the long-running “Fuerza Bruta” show in New York City, among others yet to be announced. In addition, all who enter will do so by walking the special “Purple Carpet,” and once inside receive dance beats from DJs Manny Ojeda and Steve Fog plus entertainment from hostess Erika Blaze. Scheduled guests include cast members from Season Three of the Showtime cable network program “The Real L Word;” age of admission is 18 and over.
