NFL star to host The Hamptons Golf Classic VIII
The annual Hamptons Golf Classic returns to the East End on Monday, June 25, and this year’s host should grab the interest of football fans around the Island with Ahmad Bradshaw taking the gig.
The duty was originally slated for “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” reality show cast member Scott Disick, (perhaps because his girlfriend, Kourtney Kardashian, is due to have their second child any day now) but now Bradshaw -- running back for the Super Bowl champion New York Giants -- will lead this charity outing to be held at the Hampton Hills Golf & Country Club in Westhampton Beach (County Road 31, 631-727-6862, hamptonhills.com), set to start at 10 a.m.
This year's Classic is to benefit the International Rescue Committee (an organization that works to protect human rights and provide international emergency relief), and a limited amount of foursomes are available, priced at $3,000. Those who take part can enjoy a buffet breakfast, a barbecue lunch after the first nine holes, a complimentary cigar bar, massages and a top shelf-open bar throughout the course and clubhouse. The event will then be followed by a silent auction and an awards reception -- and as the day always tends to involve a number of celebrities joining to play, spotting a famous face or two is a solid likelihood.
