It won’t be hard to find a St. Patrick’s Day party on March 17, with virtually all of Nassau and Suffolk County bars, taverns and watering holes likely doing some sort of nod to this holiday that is considered by many to be a day best spent out wearing green, munching on corned beef and enjoying beverages (often of the “adult” ilk). However, the owners of the Nutty Irishman club-pubs have come up with two mammoth promotions that go beyond simply throwing singular St. Patty's bashes, but instead will turn two of Long Island’s Main Streets into avenue-length festivals.

On St. Patrick's Day, both ‘Nutty locations – 323 Main St. in Farmingdale (516-293-9700) and 60 East Main St. in Bay Shore (631-969-9700) -- will be among the restaurants and saloons taking part in “Lepre-Con” crawls running all day throughout the spots’ respective neighborhoods.

In Bay Shore, participating venues include T.J. Finley’s (42 E. Main St., 631-647-4856), Changing Times (29 E. Main St., 631-647-7871) and The Cortland (27 W. Main St, 631-206-2220). Each will feature its own events, as will the ‘Irishman (which will open at noon, serve Irish food all day and host a dueling piano show at 4 p.m.).

Farmingdale’s Main Street will simultaneously see a similar situation, as the neighborhood Nutty joins CaraCara Mexican Grill (354 Main St., 516- 777-2272), Croxley’s Ale House (190 Main St., 516-293-7700, The Last Call (385 Conklin St., 516-293-0581), The Library Cafe (274 Main St., 516-752-7678), The Republic (217 Main St., 516-293-4400) and Wild Wild West Saloon & Grill (185 Main St., 516-586-6525) in a day of celebration – which will be further enhanced as the village of Farmingdale sees its first-ever St. Patrick’s Day parade, set to march down Main Street rain-or-shine starting at 1 p.m.
