'It's All for the Kids' at Blue
With the winter holiday season in full swing, Long Island stores, shops and malls are busy with lots of people still looking to fulfill the gift lists of their families – but for some area residents, their personal financial situations can't afford such an accomplishment.
However, on Tuesday, Dec. 17, one of the Island’s charitable organizations is throwing a bash in order to help supply some local children with the presents they couldn't receive otherwise.
Now in its fourth year, the annual “It’s All for the Kids” benefit will be held at Blue in Blue Point starting at 7 p.m. by It’s All For The Kids Inc., a nonprofit group that uses donated funds to secure and deliver holiday presents to Long Island children. Entrance is a $10 donation at the door, but the fundraising doesn't end there as all profits made that evening – right down to the bartenders’ tips – are collected and divided equally toward the purchasing and distribution of gifts. Donations are also to be given to the Timothy Hill Children’s Ranch of Riverhead (timothyhillranch.org) and The EAC center in Islip (eacinc.org).
The evening’s schedule includes food prepared by Patchogue native/ former FOX Network reality show “Hell’s Kitchen” contestant Chef Barret Beyer, along with raffles, a silent auction and several DJs; age of admission is 21 and older.
