Finale: New club coming to the Hamptons
Looks like Finale is the finale for SL East, but also the beginning of a brand new bash.
Over the past two summer seasons, SL East (44 Three Mile Harbor Rd.) had been among the strongest spots for pure parties in the Hamptons, as it specialized in big DJ events and upscale bottle service – all of which drew significant crowds almost every weekend. Nonetheless, the days of SL East (the eastern extension of Manhattan’s SL NYC ultralounge) have come to an end.
However, the space will remain a property of the same hospitality management company (EMM Group), and will be overhauled and re-branded, becoming Finale East Hampton (also a satellite venue; this time the connection is to Manhattan hot spot Finale). According to a representative for Finale East Hampton, the renovations will not only change both the interior and exterior, but the restrooms and patio as well, with the lighting and sound systems also receiving an upgrade.
Finale EH is scheduled to run from Memorial Day through Labor Day, Fridays-Saturdays from 11 p.m.-4 a.m., and occasionally also including a few Sundays during holiday weekends – and it looks like that first “extra” Sunday will be May 25, as celebrity mixer A-Trak has listed the date among his tour stops on his Facebook page (facebook.com/atrak).
Born Alain Macklovitch, the Canadian-born artist based in New York, who famously once toured and worked with hip-hop star Kanye West, is currently most recognized for his recent efforts alongside fellow DJ/producer Armand van Helden. The two are part of a disco house duo known as Duck Sauce and they pair just released a full-length studio album entitled “Quack.” It’s a solid guess that Duck Sauce music (and the costume duck bills they have worn at previous affairs) may also figure into this appearance.
