If you’re planning to head for a party spot during the weekend after Thanksgiving, you won’t be alone, as traditionally the Island nightlife scene bubbles during the Friday and Saturday evenings that come after  Turkey Dinner Day. Many places will have special entertainment, others may offer enticing deals. Here’s one club that will do both, while helping those in need at the same time.

The Middle Country Beer Garden in Centereach, 1702 Middle Country Rd., (631-696-1111) is arranging a two-day promotion:  Donate some canned food, and you’ll receive a free can of Bud Light in return.

This special is good for Friday, Nov. 23 and Saturday, Nov. 24, with a limit of one Bud per day, and this complimentary beer must be consumed on the premises.

In addition to the food-drive deal, those in attendance will also get lots of music -- on Friday Syosset’s Jenny Mann will lead her rock band Blameshift in a live show starting after 6 p.m., and Saturday will bring  WPTY-FM Party 105 DJ Vic Latino scheduled to spin danceable beats all night (along with DJ Johnathan Move) after 9 p.m.
