Although geographically a small portion of Long Island, the Hamptons may be its most famous part. Resplendent with mansions, greenery and boutiques – and usually somewhat sleepy most of the year – come the summertime a massive crowd of jetsetters, celebrities, New York City day-trippers and international visitors transforms the scene into one of the country’s premiere party places. But don’t worry – even if you aren’t a multi-millionaire there is plenty to see and do (but it doesn’t hurt) – so here’s a breakdown of where to go, what to expect and how much you may be expected to pay.
